The Suffolk Independent Living Organization (SILO) is a nonprofit organization and as such, even the smallest monetary contribution will help a lot. The people at SILO work hard to minimize expenses and spend wisely, so you can be sure that your donation will go directly toward providing advocacy, peer mentoring, and information and referral services. Donations from individuals and businesses like yourselves provide the needed funding to run community events, set up speaking engagements and visit nursing homes across the county, print and distribute disability awareness materials, provide further staff education and much more.
